ppat Tool v1.0 by Craig Marciniak ©1993
FREEWARE!
A tool to aid making patterns for Chameleon and BeforeDark users.
I got the idea from QT Snipper a screen capture utility by Andrew Welch..
FEATURES
* converts clipboard PICTs into ppats.
* screen capture utility to create ppats from any screen image.
* copy captured regions to clipboard for use with your favorite graphic
programs.
* auto-sizing marquee tool constrains to legal ppat sizes.
* High quality image scaling to legal ppat size function.
* multiple monitor support.
* create ppats up to 256 x 256.
* merge function allows multiple patterns to be saved to one file.
* NO! System Extensions or Control Panels!
USAGE
It is very straight forward, you will be able to figure it out.
BIG PATTERN NOTES
There are some anomalies when using patterns greater the 128 x 128,
if you are in thousands or millions of colors the system will crop
your pattern, there also seems to be some funky updating behind icons
on the desktop, nothing serious, just cosmetic...
COMING SOON
Later this fall I will release ppat Import/Export plug-ins for Photoshop™,
stay tuned...
Thank you,
Craig...
